To be a leading force in advancing sustainable energy solutions through innovative petroleum and gas engineering practices, fostering responsible resource development, and shaping the future of global energy systems.

MISSION OF PGE

1. To provide high-quality education and practical training in petroleum and gas engineering, fostering research, innovation, and professional excellence to meet the challenges of the evolving energy sector.
2. To develop advanced technologies and engineering practices for the efficient and safe exploration, production, and management of oil and gas resources, ensuring energy sustainability and environmental care.
3. To promote the responsible extraction and utilization of petroleum and gas resources through sustainable engineering solutions and a commitment to minimizing environmental impact.

PGE PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

It is expected that our graduates will achieve one or more of the following PEOs within the first three (3) to five (5) years of their graduation from our programmes:

Engineering Knowledge:

Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Problem Analysis:

Identify, formulate, research literature and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.

Design/Development of Solutions:

Proffer solutions for complex engineering problems and design systems, components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations.

Investigation:

Conduct investigation into complex problems using research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.

Modern Tool Usage:

Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and ICT tools, including prediction, modelling and optimization of complex engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.
