The  faculty of engineering encourages the creative application of scientific  principles to design or develop structures, machines, apparatus, or  manufacturing processes, or works, utilizing them singly to operate the same  with full cognizance of their design; or to forecast their behaviour under  specific operating conditions, all as respects an intended function, in  relation to economics of operation and safety to life and property.At the moment, there are four  departments in the faculty. They are:
1.         Agricultural Engineering
2.         Civil Engineering
3.         Electrical/Electronic Engineering
4.         Mechanical Engineering

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be admitted into  any department in, a candidate must possess the Senior Secondary School  Certificate of Education or its equivalent with credit passes in at least five  subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Economics and any other two  from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Agricultural Science, Technical  Drawing and Fine Arts. The five credits must be obtained in not more than two  sittings.
Direct Entry (DE)
Holders of degrees in  related disciplines, HND Estate Management, Higher School certificate (HSC) or  General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advance level in two relevant subjects  may be admitted into the programme provided they also meet the entry  requirement of five credits mentioned in 5.1 above.
