Office of the Vice Chancellor

The Vice-Chancellor is the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the University. Other units directly under the Vice-Chancellor’s Office are as follows:

• Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) headed by a Professor.
• Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) also headed by a Professor.
• Academic Planning and Control Unit headed by a Director.
• Student Affairs Unit, headed by the Dean of Student Affairs.
• Admissions Unit with a Director as its head.
• Medical and Health Services Unit under a Director.
• Works and Services comprising an Estate Unit headed by a Chief Engineer
• Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre comprising of Examination Centre and MIS Units headed by a Director.
• Information and Public Relations Unit headed by the University Public Relations Officer.
• Security Unit under the Chief Security Officer of the University.
• Audit Unit.
• Catering Unit.
• Physical Planning Unit

The Registry

The Registrar is the Head of the Registry and the Chief Administrative Officer of the University. He is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day to day administration of the university. He is also the Secretary to Council, Senate and Congregation. The Registry handles all Council, Senate, Establishments, development and Student matters; contracts, liaison issues, supplies, legal and property as well as immigration matters. It is composed of the following Divisions:

• The Personnel Division: It deals with all staff (Senior and Junior Personnel) matters.

Bursary Department

The Bursary Department handles all financial matters of the University. It is headed by the Bursar who is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and he is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor.

Library Department

The Library Department is concerned with the collection, keeping and circulation of books and other reading materials in the University. The Department is headed by the University Librarian who is the Chief Library Officer of the University and he is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor.
