The Vice-Chancellor is the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the University. Other units directly under the Vice-Chancellor’s Office are as follows:
The Registrar is the Head of the Registry and the Chief Administrative Officer of the University. He is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day to day administration of the university. He is also the Secretary to Council, Senate and Congregation. The Registry handles all Council, Senate, Establishments, development and Student matters; contracts, liaison issues, supplies, legal and property as well as immigration matters. It is composed of the following Divisions:
The Bursary Department handles all financial matters of the University. It is headed by the Bursar who is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and he is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor.
The Library Department is concerned with the collection, keeping and circulation of books and other reading materials in the University. The Department is headed by the University Librarian who is the Chief Library Officer of the University and he is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor.
