• • Provide and promote high quality education and training, encourage first class learning, research and innovations; ensure the publication and dissemination of results of such academic and professional contributions; as well as provide appropriate community services to Imo people in particular and Nigerians and humanity in general through the creation of industrial harmony and effective partnership with governments, organizations and institutions, and individuals in line with the socioeconomic, cultural and political needs of our people.

Accordingly, my objective will be to create a peaceful and sustainable academic environment to train disciplined and self-reliant men and women who will provide qualitative leadership and support in governance, commerce and industry, science and technology, agriculture, education, medicine, law  and in all other facets of human endeavour for the development of Imo State, Nigeria and the global community.

APPRECIATION

With deepest sense of humility and responsibility and immense gratitude to God Almighty, I write to most respectfully thank His Excellency, the Governor AND Visitor of Imo State University for appointing me the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Imo State University Owerri.

Indeed, words are inadequate to express my appreciation and gratitude to His Excellency for this kind gesture, which has yet marked another important milestone in my life as an Academic and Administrator. I am humbled by this act of magnanimity and the expressed confidence you have in my ability to pilot the affairs of the Imo State University at this momentous point in our history.

I wish to acknowledge with thank the support and encouragement of the Management Team (Registrar, Bursar and Librarian), members of the University Senate, staff and students. The modest good successes we have been able to record in the last one year are because of synergy and complimentary roles of Government, my colleagues and students as well as other stakeholders.
